Waterstones

14 Eastgate St, Chester CH1 1LF, UK – 01244 345066

Staff were welcoming, friendly and engaging. Been a regular customer for roughly five years and I have never had a bad experience whilst shopping here! Make sure to stop by if your passing through and or looking for a gift for someone special - there's plenty of options and variety.

This is really nicely laid out and always feels very 'bookish'. A great selection of books and the sections are clearly labelled. The staff are very helpful and always friendly and knowledgeable.

Chester Comic Co

73 Brook St, Chester CH1 3DX, UK – 01244 344050

Great collection of comics and graphic novels here, both old and new. Suitable for hard-core fans and those dipping their toes into the comic book world. Knowledgeable staff who are ready to help find what you need. There's a very good collection of back issues from the golden age to more recent runs. These include Marvel and DC but also other publishers too. If your a comic book fan looking to find that missing issue in your collection or if you want to start exploring a superhero you've seen in the movies, go check this place out.

Fantastic shop with great staff who are always there to help. Highly recommend to anybody in the north west that loves comic books and memorabilia

WHSmith

05-07 Foregate St, Chester CH1 1HH, UK – 01244 321106

Smiths has been on Chester high street for some time. It's always been the best place to go for books or latest mags. I still think it's competitive and comparable to online only retailers, but, often times it's better to see a book before you buy it. With that said.. I will always try to use Smiths above any other retailer. Clearance section is a must!!
